28/11/08: I just had to let
my poor Seanie go today, after
rapidly going downhill with symptoms
of organ failure after looking
slightly unwell for about a week He
was just over a year old and I'm
devastated...he joins his mum
Myfanwy at the rainbow bridge
Sean was one of the 4 tough little
babies that survived Myfanwy's
difficult pregnancy and birthing. I
was so pleased to get a blue amongst
the babies!! He was a sweet, quiet
lad, always very unassuming and
placid, and loved his cuddles. He
was a beautiful boy, and did well at
shows as a kitten (although his mum
usually beat him!).
Sadly, he went downhill very quickly
starting from last night, and I had
no option other than to PTS, as he
was obviously dying. He'd lost
interest in life, and was lethargic
and floppy.
i'll miss you Seanie...I'm so sorry
that you went so young. Your brother
Bradders will also be wondering
where you are...
for Sean... I felt that the lyrics
were especially fitting...
Mr Blue - Catherine Feeny
Mr. Blue,
I told you that I love you
Please believe me
Mr. Blue,
I have to go now, darling
Don't be angry
I know that you're tired
Know that you're sore and sick
and sad for some reason
So I leave you with a smile
Kiss you on the cheek
and you will call it treason
That's the way it goes some days
A fever comes at you without a
warning
And I can see it in your face
You've been waiting to break
since you woke up this morning
Mr. Blue,
Don't hold your head so low
That you can't see the sky
Mr. Blue,
It ain't so long since you were
flying high
Mr. Blue,
I told you that I love you
Please believe me
